Full Mouth Dental Implants in Turkey
Full mouth implants replace an entire arch — sometimes both — with a fixed bridge supported by implants rather than a removable denture. It is the largest category of treatment patients travel to Turkey for, and the one where planning matters most.
Two questions decide everything: how much bone is available, and how many implants the case genuinely needs. A full mouth can be restored on four, six or eight implants per arch, and those are clinical decisions made from a scan rather than commercial preferences.
What full mouth treatment involves
Failing or missing teeth are removed where they cannot be saved, implants are placed in the positions the scan shows are suitable, and a temporary fixed bridge is fitted so you leave with teeth.
After three to six months of healing, the final bridge is made and fitted. The bite is checked carefully at that point, because the new teeth have to work evenly with the muscles and joint rather than only look right.
- Full assessment with a scan before any commitment to a plan.
- Extractions of unsalvageable teeth, sometimes at the same appointment.
- Four, six or eight implants per arch depending on bone and load.
- A fixed temporary bridge, then a final bridge after healing.

Bone grafting and the cases that take longer
Where teeth have been missing for years, bone shrinks. Grafting — placing bone material to rebuild the ridge — is often needed, and a sinus lift is sometimes required in the upper jaw. Both add a stage and several months of healing before implants can be placed.
This is the single most common reason a full-arch case takes longer than a patient expected. It is also the reason we ask for a scan rather than relying on photographs.
Not sure which treatment applies to you? A coordinator will go through it with you.
What it costs and how to compare it
Full-arch treatment is priced per arch, with implant numbers, bridge material and any grafting affecting the total. Two clinics quoting the same headline figure can be selling very different amounts of treatment, so ask for the implant count, the brands and the bridge material in writing.
Compare the figure against what a full-arch case would cost privately at home, and build in flights, a second trip and the days away from work. Our page on dental treatment costs sets out how those quotes are built.
Living with full-arch implants
You will be advised to eat soft food during healing and to clean carefully around the implant sites. Once the final bridge is fitted, chewing is normally comfortable and confident, though very hard foods are worth caution.
Reviews matter. Implants need their surrounding gum checked, and the bridge needs the bite monitored, which can be done by your own dentist at home with records from the clinic.
Send photographs and describe what is failing, loose or already missing. Book a free assessment and a coordinator will explain which full-arch option is likely and how many trips it involves.
Full Mouth Dental Implants in Turkey: questions patients ask
How many implants do I need for a full mouth?
Commonly four to eight per arch, depending on bone volume and the load the bridge will carry. That is decided from a scan, and the options should be explained to you before you commit.
Can all my teeth be done in one trip?
The implants and a temporary bridge usually are. The final bridge is fitted after healing, on a second and shorter visit.
Is full mouth implant treatment painful?
The surgery is carried out under local anaesthetic, so it is not painful at the time. Expect swelling and soreness for a few days afterwards, managed with prescribed medication.
What if I do not have enough bone?
Grafting or a sinus lift can rebuild it, which adds a stage and healing time. Sometimes a different implant protocol avoids grafting altogether — ask what is possible in your case.
Can I go back to eating normally?
Most patients chew comfortably once the final bridge is fitted. Very hard foods are best treated with care, and the bite is reviewed at fitting.

How to read this page
SmileOver is a coordination service. We arrange consultations, written treatment plans, airport and clinic transfers, accommodation and aftercare contact for patients travelling from the UK and elsewhere.
Clinical care — diagnosis, treatment planning and the treatment itself — is provided by the independent dental clinic and its registered dentists in Turkey. SmileOver does not practise dentistry and does not decide which treatment you need.
Every page here is general information, not medical advice. Your dentist will assess your own teeth, and treatment varies between patients. No outcome is guaranteed and no treatment is suitable for everyone.
