★All-on-6 Dental Implants

All-on-6 Dental Implants in Turkey

All-on-6 uses six implants to support a full arch of teeth. The extra two implants spread the load more widely than All-on-4, which usually means a stronger bridge and more even pressure on the bone.

It is not automatically the better option — it depends on your bone and your bite. This page explains when six implants make sense, when they do not, and what the treatment and the trip actually involve.

Visits needed

Usually two visits to Marmaris

Time in Turkey

5 to 7 days for placement, then 5 to 7 days for the final bridge

Cost

Quoted after your CT scan — our published implant and crown package starts at £7,899

★The treatment

How All-on-6 differs from All-on-4

Where All-on-4 uses four implants in a single jaw — two straight, two angled — All-on-6 places six. The additional implants are usually positioned to give the bridge more support along its length, which matters for patients with a heavy bite, longer spans of missing teeth or strong jaw muscles.

More implants mean more surgical sites, a longer appointment and a higher cost, but they can reduce the load carried by each individual implant. Where bone is thin at the back of the jaw, All-on-4 with angled implants may be the more practical route instead.

Which one suits you is a clinical decision made from your scan. We will show you what we can see and explain why we are recommending one over the other — including when the simpler option is the better one.

★Suitability

Who All-on-6 may suit

  • A full arch needs replacing and you want a fixed bridge rather than a denture
  • There is enough bone across the arch to place six implants without extensive grafting
  • Your bite loads heavily, for example through grinding or a strong natural bite
  • A four-implant approach has been ruled out because of the span involved
  • You are prepared for a slightly longer procedure and a higher cost than four implants

Worth knowing first: Six implants are not better for everyone. Where bone at the back of the jaw is limited, grafting or an angled-implant approach may be needed, and some cases are better treated with four implants. Smoking, gum disease and uncontrolled health conditions all raise the risk of implant failure.

★What it offers

What patients usually gain

  • A full arch of fixed teeth supported along its length rather than at four points
  • More even distribution of chewing forces, which can suit heavy bites
  • A single bridge replacing the whole arch, so there is no denture to remove
  • Temporary teeth fitted during the same trip
  • Laboratory work completed in-house, so the final bridge is designed around your own face
★Balanced view

Risks and honest considerations

  • More implant sites means a longer surgical appointment and a longer recovery than four implants.
  • Any implant carries a risk of not integrating with the bone, which may require removal or replacement.
  • Grafting is sometimes needed to create enough bone for the extra implants, which extends the timeline.
  • Bruising, swelling and soreness follow surgery. It is managed with painkillers and settles, but the first week is not comfortable.
  • Ongoing cleaning, check-ups and a protective guard where grinding is present are part of keeping the bridge stable.

No treatment is risk-free and no result can be guaranteed. Your dentist will go through what applies to you at your assessment.

★Step by step

The All-on-6 process, step by step

  1. 1

    Assessment, scan and bite review

Your dentist examines your mouth and gum health, takes a CT scan and looks at how your bite loads each side of the jaw. This is what decides between four and six implants.

  2. 2

    Written plan and quote

You are given the implant system, the number of implants, the materials for the temporary and final bridge, the number of visits and the full cost — in writing, before anything is booked.

  3. 3

    Implant placement and temporary bridge

Six implants are placed under local anaesthetic, usually in one appointment, and a fixed temporary bridge is fitted so you leave with teeth.

  4. 4

    Healing at home

A soft diet and careful cleaning while the bone bonds to the implants, usually for three to six months, with remote support from your coordinator.

  5. 5

    Final bridge fitted

On your second visit, impressions are taken, the final bridge is milled in our laboratory and fitted, with the bite checked carefully across the whole arch.

  6. 6

    Review and long-term care

You return home with hygiene guidance and a maintenance plan. Implants are reviewed over the years like any other dental work.

★Practical detail

Before, during, after and beyond

Before you travel

Send photographs, any x-rays you already have and a full medical history, including medication and previous dental work abroad. Where a CT scan is essential, we may ask for it to be taken locally or arrange it on arrival.

Plan your stay so there is time to rest after surgery and a review appointment before you fly. Travel insurance that covers dental complications is worth arranging, and stopping smoking before treatment materially improves healing.

During treatment

Surgery is carried out under local anaesthetic and takes longer than an All-on-4 appointment because more sites are involved. Your coordinator handles appointments, transfers and anything you need translated.

Before you leave for home, the temporary bridge is secured and you are shown how to clean around it. It is built to work, not to be your final teeth.

Aftercare

Written instructions cover cleaning, medication, diet and what to expect week by week. You are asked not to smoke, to avoid hard food on the temporary bridge and to keep the implant sites clean.

Once home you have remote support from your coordinator, and we recommend telling your own dentist what has been fitted. Long-term success depends on daily cleaning and regular review.

Recovery at a glance

Expect swelling for the first two to three days and soft food for one to two weeks. Most patients feel close to normal within a week, though the bone under the implants keeps healing for months.

The final bridge is fitted only after that healing is checked. If your bite needs minor adjustment after fitting, it can usually be done quickly.

★Pricing

What it costs and what is included

The cost of All-on-6 depends on the number of implants, whether grafting is needed and the materials used for the final bridge. Our published implant and crown package — 12 implants with 24 zirconium crowns over two visits — starts at £7,899. Prices are starting prices; you receive a written quote after your assessment.

★Frequently Asked Questions

All-on-6 Dental Implants: common questions

Is All-on-6 better than All-on-4?

Not universally. Six implants give more support and spread the load, which helps heavy bites and longer spans. Four implants involve less surgery and less cost, and where bone is limited the angled All-on-4 approach can work well. Your scan decides which is appropriate.

How many trips does All-on-6 need?

Two is the norm. The implants and temporary bridge are done on the first trip, and the final bridge is fitted on the second after the bone has bonded to the implants.

How much do All-on-6 implants cost in Turkey?

Because the number of implants and the final materials vary, All-on-6 is quoted individually after an assessment. Our published implant and crown package starts at £7,899 as a guide, and you will always be given the full figure in writing before committing.

Can the temporary bridge be used for eating?

It is a working bridge, so soft and normal foods are fine, but it is not designed for hard or sticky food such as crusty bread, ice or toffee. The final bridge is stronger, and even then we advise care with very hard foods.

How long do All-on-6 implants last?

No clinician can promise a lifespan. Implants that are well placed, well maintained and not overloaded frequently last many years, and the bridge on top often needs attention before the implants do. Cleaning, check-ups and guarding against grinding are what protect the investment.
