Dental Treatment Costs in Turkey
Dental treatment in Turkey costs less than private treatment in Britain for the same clinical work, but the difference varies enormously by treatment and by case. A single published figure is a starting point for budgeting, not a quotation for your mouth.
This hub collects everything on the site about price: how a quote is built, what pushes a case above the guide figure, the trip costs clinics do not cover, and how to compare two clinics without being misled by the totals.
What a quote is actually made of
Most of a dental quote is units of work: how many crowns, implants, extractions or root treatments. Around that sit materials, laboratory time, the dentist's time and the support that keeps an overseas patient on schedule.
In a package, some non-clinical costs are bundled in — transfers, accommodation, interpretation, review appointments — which is why two clinics can quote very different totals while using similar materials. One is quoting the clinical work alone; the other has wrapped the trip around it.
- Clinical units: crowns, implants, extractions, fillings, root treatment, grafting.
- Materials and brands: zirconia or porcelain, and which implant system.
- Laboratory work: in-house or outsourced, and how many days are allowed for it.
- Support: transfers, accommodation, coordinator time, review appointments.

The costs that are easy to forget
Patients comparing quotes often compare only the dental figure and then find the trip costs more than expected. Build these into your budget from the start.
- Flights, which vary hugely by season and departure airport.
- Nights beyond those included in a package, plus food and spending money.
- Travel insurance that includes medical cover.
- A contingency for an extra night or an extra stage revealed at examination.
- A second trip, if your treatment is staged.
- Aftercare at home: a review with your own dentist, or replacing anything that fails.
Not sure which treatment applies to you? A coordinator will go through it with you.
Comparing two clinics without being misled
Price means nothing until you know what is included. Ask for the plan in writing with a line-by-line breakdown, and check that both quotes describe the same number of units, the same materials and the same implant brands.
Be sceptical of any figure that cannot be explained. A very low quote usually means fewer units, cheaper materials or unspecified exclusions — and the gap reappears once you are in the chair.
Getting a real figure for your teeth
The only price that matters is the one attached to your own plan. Send clear photographs and a description of what is bothering you, and a coordinator will tell you which treatments are likely, what the dentist will need to see and what those routes cost so far as it can be judged before an examination.
Nothing is charged for that. Request a free assessment, or start with our published Turkey teeth prices.
Dental Treatment Costs in Turkey: questions patients ask
Why is dental treatment cheaper in Turkey than the UK?
Lower operating and labour costs, a dense network of dental laboratories and implant suppliers, and the exchange rate all play a part. The clinical work is standard dentistry using the same materials.
What should a dental quote include?
The number of units and which teeth, the materials and implant brands by name, the number of visits, what is excluded, the payment schedule and what a revision would cost later.
Are there hidden costs with treatment abroad?
There should not be. Grafting, extra extractions, extra hotel nights, flights and medication are the usual exclusions — they should be listed in writing before you pay a deposit.
Is cheaper dental treatment in Turkey safe?
Price alone says little about safety. What matters is proper examination, records, a written plan and reasonable time allowed for the work. A very cheap quote that skips those steps is a warning sign.
Can I pay in instalments?
Staged payments are often possible, and many patients split the cost across two trips. Ask for the payment terms in writing — see booking and payment for how our own process works.

How to read this page
SmileOver is a coordination service. We arrange consultations, written treatment plans, airport and clinic transfers, accommodation and aftercare contact for patients travelling from the UK and elsewhere.
Clinical care — diagnosis, treatment planning and the treatment itself — is provided by the independent dental clinic and its registered dentists in Turkey. SmileOver does not practise dentistry and does not decide which treatment you need.
Every page here is general information, not medical advice. Your dentist will assess your own teeth, and treatment varies between patients. No outcome is guaranteed and no treatment is suitable for everyone.
