Solo Traveller Dental Treatment in Turkey
Travelling alone does not mean being on your own. Most patients who contact us about treatment in Turkey are travelling without a companion, and the parts that worry them are almost always the same: getting from the airport, finding the clinic, being understood, and managing the first evening after surgery.
This hub collects everything we have written for solo patients, and explains how coordination covers those gaps — a named coordinator, arranged transfers, a hotel close to the clinic, and someone reachable in English for the whole trip.
What coordination actually covers
When you travel alone, small logistics become the thing that decides whether the trip feels manageable. Our support is designed around that, and it applies to the whole journey rather than only the appointments.
- A named coordinator you can message in English before, during and after your trip.
- Airport pickup and a transfer to your accommodation, arranged around your flight.
- Accommodation chosen for its distance from the clinic.
- Clinic journeys at times that match your appointments.
- Interpretation when anything needs explaining in the chair.
- Contact after you get home, for questions during healing.

The days that matter most
Two moments are worth planning properly. Arrival day, when you are in an unfamiliar place and tired; and the day of any surgical treatment, when you should not be arranging transport or cooking for yourself.
For both, everything is pre-arranged: the driver meets you, the hotel is expecting you, and appointments sit within a short transfer of where you are staying. After surgery, plan to rest — stock soft food nearby and keep the day clear.
Not sure which treatment applies to you? A coordinator will go through it with you.
Practicalities for a trip on your own
Tell someone at home your itinerary and the clinic's contact details. Keep medication in your hand luggage with a copy of the prescription, carry your written plan with you, and put your coordinator's number somewhere you can reach without unlocking your phone.
If you would rather not talk to anyone at all, everything can be handled in writing. Say so when you enquire and we will keep it to messages.
Ready when you are
Ask anything you like before committing to a trip: how the transfer works, how the hotel is chosen, what happens if you feel unwell in the evening, or who to contact at the weekend. There is no charge for the conversation and no obligation.

Solo Traveller Dental Treatment in Turkey: questions patients ask
Is it safe to travel to Turkey alone for dental treatment?
Thousands of patients do. The practical risks are ordinary travel risks, and they are reduced by arranging transfers, accommodation and a contact who answers, rather than by luck.
Will someone meet me at the airport?
Yes, a private transfer can meet you at Dalaman and take you to your accommodation, with the details confirmed before you travel.
What if I feel unwell after treatment while I am on my own?
Contact your coordinator, who can reach the clinic and arrange for you to be seen. Keep the clinic's number and your aftercare instructions with you.
Can I have treatment without a companion?
Most treatments do not require one. For surgical treatment we would suggest a companion if it is practical, but many patients travel alone and are comfortable doing so when the logistics are arranged.
Do you arrange hotels close to the clinic?
Accommodation is chosen for its distance from the clinic and matched to your appointment dates. Tell us your preferences when you enquire.

How to read this page
SmileOver is a coordination service. We arrange consultations, written treatment plans, airport and clinic transfers, accommodation and aftercare contact for patients travelling from the UK and elsewhere.
Clinical care — diagnosis, treatment planning and the treatment itself — is provided by the independent dental clinic and its registered dentists in Turkey. SmileOver does not practise dentistry and does not decide which treatment you need.
Every page here is general information, not medical advice. Your dentist will assess your own teeth, and treatment varies between patients. No outcome is guaranteed and no treatment is suitable for everyone.
