How Many Days Do I Need in Turkey for Dental Treatment?

How long crown, implant and full-arch treatment actually take, how the days are usually shaped, and why one extra day beats one too few.

The honest answer is "it depends on the treatment" — but you can plan around it quite precisely, because treatment trips follow predictable shapes.

By treatment type

  • Crowns, veneers and bridges: usually 5–7 days, including your assessment and the final fitting. Most of the middle days are laboratory time, not chair time.
  • Implants: normally two trips. The first is around 5–7 days for assessment, placement and temporary teeth. The second, a few months later once healing is confirmed, is shorter — often just a few days to fit the final crowns.
  • Full-arch work: typically 7–10 days for the first stage, depending on the plan your dentist agrees with you.

If you are having aesthetic treatments alongside dental work, those are usually slotted around your dental appointments rather than adding days.

How a crown trip is usually shaped

Day 1 — assessment. X-rays, photographs, a full examination and a proper conversation about what you want. Your plan and shade are confirmed before anything starts.

Days 2–3 — preparation. Teeth are prepared under local anaesthetic and temporaries are fitted. A few hours in the chair at most.

Middle days — free. Your crowns are being made. Patients swim, take a boat trip, walk the marina or simply rest. This is the part that makes the trip feel like a holiday.

Final day — fitting. Your bite is checked, the crowns are fitted, and you are given aftercare instructions. Most patients fly home the next day.

How an implant trip is different

Implant placement is one longer appointment, followed by healing days that are gentler than most patients expect: rest, ice, soft food and painkillers. The second trip is quick and comfortable — the work is already done, you are just collecting your new teeth.

Why one extra day beats one too few

Bodies do not always cooperate. A small adjustment, a bite that needs refining, or swelling that lingers can all add a day. If you have booked your flight for the evening immediately after your fitting, that is stressful. If you have a spare day, it is a minor change to the plan.

Our advice is simple: book one day more than you think you need, and enjoy it.

What to plan around

  • Flights: Dalaman is around an hour from Marmaris, with a private transfer included in your package.
  • Where you stay: our boutique hotel partner is four minutes from the clinic, which turns appointment days into short walks rather than journeys.
  • Soft food days: plan them. Soup, yoghurt, eggs, mashed potato and plenty of water.
  • Work: five to seven days off is realistic for crown work; surgical stages need a little more.

There is a fuller planning checklist in our step-by-step guide to a dental trip to Marmaris, and our dental tourism guide explains the whole process end to end.

The short version

Plan five to seven days for crowns, two trips for implants, and seven to ten days for full-arch work — then add a day of margin. Treatment happens mostly in the mornings, so the rest of your trip is genuinely yours.
