Planning Your Dental Trip to Marmaris: A Step-by-Step Guide
How many days to book, what to organise before you fly, and how treatment days usually fit around a bit of a holiday.

A dental trip works best when the dentistry leads and the holiday follows. Get the plan right, and the experience feels like a break with a very good outcome attached. Get it wrong, and you spend your week chasing logistics.
Here's how we help patients structure it.
Start with your smile, not your flight
Before booking anything, get a written treatment plan: what's being done, how many appointments, how many days in the chair, and whether you need one trip or two. Flights and hotels are easy to change. A half-finished mouth is not.
Before you book
- Passport — check it has at least six months' validity, which is the usual entry expectation.
- Medication — bring enough of anything you take regularly, in your hand luggage, with the prescription.
- Medical notes — a short summary of conditions, allergies and past dental work saves time at your first appointment.
- Travel insurance — standard policies usually exclude planned dental treatment, so check what you're covered for and consider specialist cover.
How long to plan for
- Crowns, veneers, bridges: typically 5–7 days, including your final fitting.
- Implants: two trips — one for placement, one to fit the final teeth a few months later.
- Full-arch work: usually 7–10 days for the first stage, depending on the plan.
It's better to book one extra day than one fewer. A rushed fitting helps nobody.
Getting there
Marmaris is served by Dalaman airport (around an hour's transfer) with direct flights from several UK airports. Antalya is the alternative, roughly three and a half hours away. Our packages include a private VIP transfer, so someone meets you and drives you to your hotel — no taxis, no haggling.
Your first appointment
Expect around two hours. That's x-rays, sometimes a CT scan, a full examination, and a conversation about what you actually want from your smile. Digital scans and photographs are taken, shade is matched, and the plan is confirmed with you before any treatment starts.
If anything in the plan changes once your dentist sees your teeth properly, you'll be told before work begins.
Treatment days and downtime
Most patients have treatment in the mornings. Crowns and veneers are comfortable enough that the afternoon is genuinely free — pool, beach, a walk along the marina, an early dinner. Surgical days are gentler: rest, ice, soft food, and a nap.
Plan the soft-food days in advance: soup, yoghurt, eggs, mashed potato, and plenty of water.
The final fitting, and flying home
Your last appointment is the fitting and bite check. Once that's done, you're free to travel. If you've had surgical work, we'll advise on timing before you fly and give you clear aftercare instructions to take home.
Back home
You'll leave with a treatment summary, implant documentation where relevant, and contact details for your coordinator. Routine check-ups with your UK dentist continue as normal — we'll happily share your notes with them.
The short version
